this is really cool for a first fusion, but here's a few tips so you can improve:
1.) Your coloring has a line of white between them and the outline, which looks kind of weird. I usually fix this by going back over the white line with a colored brush.
2.) It is really hard to tell what this is a fusion of! The best fusions are instantly recognizable. You could improve this by incorporating more parts of Umbreon's design than just adding yellow rings.
3.) This is a rather small detail, but the image is cut off on most edges. It doesn't show off the entire fusion, so we can't see if anything is changed with the feet, etc.
In the end, though, it's up to you how you want to draw, and I won't try to force you into any one style. :)
@hippo986: the next one will be better
@farmergirl139: don't use bases, they will never let you grow as a artist.
@Zappy the Raichu: that's not true! Artists use bases and references all the time.
However, in doing so, they usually REDRAW it, rather than literally recoloring the existing work and calling it done.
@Zappy the Raichu:

How about we rephrase that more accurately.

Taking some other people's work, recoloring it, then parading it around as your own ISN'T gonna help you out here, buddy.

@bluefiredragon: mk bro.
@hippo986: all the time? I've never used a base in my life! Just because you do something doesn't mean everyone else does.
@Zappy the Raichu: I've never used a base!
@Zappy the Raichu: Um...I personally have only used a base once ever, and I changed a LOT from it. I know lots of other artists that do use bases regularly, though, and even more that use references!
@hippo986: having a reference is different form using a base, when you use the base you have half the work done for you, when you use a reference it's just a riminder of what your drawing.
@Zappy the Raichu: I don't want to start a fight here, but I think you misunderstand what a base it. Bases are usually various poses, more often than not humanoid, that you are supposed to draw on top of so that you can get the proportions of the body right. They are very helpful to use, and people who are against using bases are actually frowned upon among artists, because they discourage newer artists from using legitimately helpful resources.
@Zappy the Raichu:

Guys, this isn't using a base, this is a lazily made recolor, so WHY are we arguing about bases again???
@bluefiredragon: I have no idea.
@hippo986: I know what a base is, It's In The Name! I'm just saying you shouldn't rely on base all the time your else you will get no where with your art skills!
@Zappy the Raichu: Well, if you're a good enough artist, people won't realize you used a base.
@hippo986: then what would there art look like if they didn't use a base?
@Zappy the Raichu: -_- I'm done with this. This is a stupid conversation and we're getting nowhere.
@hippo986: mk bro.
This looks a lot like you took a sylveon picture that someone else drew and recolored it. i onto something here?
@bluefiredragon: It looks like it might be official art but I'm not sure

I think they might have taken a picture that was cut from the anime, but I'm not sure.

I mean, it's hard to convince myself that this is yours when i've already read your comic, farmergirl.
@Snipehunt: I was gonna say, it looks a lot like this was done using a base. I would know as I have seen many bases while searching for specific ones.
Hee hee
When i saw ur username m8
I thought it said chippo!
Ke ke~ my bad
The original base also says to give credit when used! If you're going to use bases, you're going to have to give credit! Nothing wrong with using bases, heck I did once and awhile when I was younger, but you have to give credit to the base maker! Especially after all their hard work!
Very interning pokemon this pokemon would be a fire/dark type and would be very good but alas it would be but another glass tank.
